Today I am celebrating 8 years of marriage to my husband... {Our Wedding Day ~ May 7th, 2005} I am certainly NOT a marriage expert, and still make many mistakes (just ask my husband!). We have seen ups and downs in these eight years - financial hardships, unemployment, lots of closed doors...but God has been faithful and I am truly blessed with a wonderful marriage. I have {sorta} figured a few things out...especially from those newlywed days. The first few months of my marriage were a challenge and a huge adjustment. So, I have a few words of advice for newlywed wives, from a {slightly} more experienced wife: It is okay to mourn your former life. My husband and I had been married for about a week, we were not taking a honeymoon for a few weeks until my husband finished school that year, so life had just continued on as "normal" after our wedding. good printables, excellent way to keep folks busy while waiting for food. :)
ReplyDeletedid they go over well in your household?
We haven't used them yet - we will use them on Thanksgiving. But I did get my daughter's approval of them :)
DeleteEmily, what a fantastic idea - you did a beautiful job! I'll be featuring your idea soon on my blog (homemakinghearts.com) and sending folks your way! Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gabriella! I really appreciate it :)
DeleteEmily, I had mentioned that I would be featuring your idea for the Thanksgiving placemats on my blog and had it all prepared for post. The day I was going to do that was the day the Romeike family was in court to try to gain permission to stay in the United States and felt it was important to post something concerning that. Since then, I have seen on the top of your posts the link to your disclosure where you ask that permission be requested/granted before using information from your site -- I'm so glad my post didn't go through! Please forgive me for not seeing that request sooner and thank you for your gracious response to my prior comment. I like what you have done with your site and would still like to bless you by promoting it to others; I will attempt to do so with greater propriety in the future.
ReplyDeleteHi Gabriella,
DeleteNo worries - it is fine as long as you link back to my site. I am a big fan of round-ups and promoting each other :) Maybe I need to change the wording in my disclosure to make that more clear. Blessings to you!
